Since my first musical release, I have donated to a variety of preservation groups, foundations focused on humanitarian efforts and disaster relief funds. Through such groups and foundations, I have found great comfort in knowing my music can benefit others all over the world. With songs like Satao, where I donate 100% of all musical sales to the conservation of the Elephant species, and other musical donations to wildlife conservation groups such as Global Wildlife, WorldWide Fund for Nature, African Wildlife Foundation, and The Wildlife Conservation Society, I am honored to provide donations to assist in the funding of such foundations to remain focused on saving wildlife and wild places worldwide through science, conservation action, and education.
This Special Edition Single is dedicated to the loss of one of the world's most beautiful creatures. Satao was one of Kenya's largest African elephants. He was known as a tusker because his tusks were so long that they almost touched the ground. The Tsavo Trust announced that Satao was killed by poachers using a poisoned arrow on May 30, 2014.
Note: 100% of all sales from this single will be donated to the fight to save the elephants.
“Conservation endures as a living discipline because it is inhabited by a magnificent collection of people. Only by working together can we create solutions to the most vexing problems we face.”
